You’ve booked your Initial Installation for the Hand-Tied Hair Extensions transformation of your dreams and you’re SO EXCITED (so am I!) but maybe you’re still feeling a little nervous about what to expect at that first appointment? I totally get it. But not to worry – I’m going to take THEE BEST care of you. Here’s what you can expect.
When you arrive at The Atelier for your appointment, we’ll sit down and chat over a freshly brewed latté, giving us a chance to get to know each other and go over your responses to the questions you answered on the virtual consultation form. Together, we’ll take a look at your inspiration photos again so we’re on the same page with regard to what you do – and don’t – love for your hair.
After I have a clear idea of your expectations, I’ll share my professional guidance as far as what is attainable for your first visit with me. Together, we’ll agree on a hair color game-plan for both your first and future appointments, and discuss both in-salon and at-home maintenance required to keep your color and extensions looking their best.
Then, the fun part: we’ll hand-select your hand-tied wefts from the hair wall in a variety of shades and tones to create a gorgeous multidimensional palette that I will customize to blend seamlessly with your natural hair!
Once we have a detailed plan in place and you are comfortable in your chair with your latté (or champagne!) and wifi connection, I’ll get to work!
Depending on the plan for your hair and extensions, I will typically get started by customizing and conditioning your wefts before they are installed, which allows you plenty of time to relax and soak in your environment, or pull out your laptop if you’re “working from home” during your appointment (this is totally cool with me – many of my clients work from the salon!).
Once I’ve got your wefts customized the way I want them, I’ll return to your side to concentrate on giving your natural hair the perfect complementary multidimensional color makeover and restorative treatment to prep for the addition of extensions.
After both your natural hair and your wefts have been customized to perfection, I’ll begin your sew-in installation on your damp hair, ensuring a placement that both protects the integrity of your natural hair and provides you with a makeover that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.
