I felt empathy for stylists who were working hard to build their careers and felt they deserved a better experience both for themselves and for their clients. I knew it was up to me to create an alternative: elevated spaces for other stylists to be able to thrive and enjoy a career of their dreams while prioritizing their health and prosperity. And so, the evolution of Heyday Collective has begun… with The Nest in Lakewood, and visions of future locations on the horizon.

While opening The Atelier in Ohio City felt like my only option to upgrade, I knew the daunting task of salon ownership wasn’t a feasible reality for many stylists. 

I knew it was time to dig out the cocktail napkin from nearly a decade earlier where I had scribbled my vision of a second floor boutique salon. Little did I know when I drew it, that this would be the beginning of Heyday Collective.

As one of the first artists in my city to be offering this luxury service, my extensions business exploded and I quickly outgrew my little studio in Rocky River.

After seeing the transformation — not just of their outward physical appearance, but of their emotional state, their mental well-being, and their confidence - I was completely hooked. It wasn’t long before I chose to specialize exclusively in extensions…and I haven’t looked back since!

I sought out training in extensions as a solution for clients who struggled to achieve their desired results with their naturally fine, thin hair. 

My first salon (in a studio) was called “Chin Up” - a cheeky play on words to always look on the bright side but a nod to the fact that I loved shorter hairstyles (from the chin up)!

Early in my career I loved cutting edgy, short cuts and men’s hair.
